If you scroll to the bottom of this article you will find what I hope is a download link to my new Monsterbase2023. https://www.chesstech.info/2019/02/scid-vs-pc-databases-part-3.html
So I downloaded the windows64 version of Scid vs PC and went to explore the opening tree. It is using the Clip database but says there are 0 games in that database. Any suggestions?
They will ask you to post your intentions in a forum. Please do so now. They will canvass the forum to "see" if a "number" of members agree and support. I look forward to adding my agreement as soon as the post is made.
I am an admin for the Smith-Morra group and wouldn't have a problem adding this group, but as @RMChess1954 pointed out, getting an owner that doesn't look like he's logged in in two years to agree could be hard. There may be a way to petition chess.com, but I don't know.
@daurzada, would you consider leading this group? There is an easy process to become an SA and you could guide this group into a better resource for Scid users.
I say no. Scid vs. PC is the son of Scid and probably the only version that is reasonably current. I don't think there have been many recent updates to Scid. The last time I installed Scid vs. PC was on Ubuntu 16.04 and it was a pain then. I do most of my analysis with the tools on chess.com these days, but I might look into it again.
