Surrey Border Chess League

The Surrey Border Chess League promotes chess for players of all levels of experience and strength in the area of the borders between Surrey, Hampshire and Berkshire .

We organise seven divisions (one open and six grading limited) catering for players of all strengths and ages

We organise two knockout competitions; the Haslemere Trophy (a handicap format, two rounds per match and five boards) and the Bell Trophy (graded five boards)

We welcome newcomers and experienced players alike

We can provide advice and coaching for those keen to learn and improve

We play an active part in developing chess in the local area, establishing links with local schools and colleges

We actively encourage junior players and those getting started
