Clubs

We are a small group of chess enthusiasts who meet every Wednesday between 4.30 and 8 pm at the excellent MAP Cafe at 46 Grafton Road, NW5 3DU in London's Kentish Town. We are a mixture of beginners and intermediate players, most of whom have very little in the way of formal tournament and match experience. Once every four weeks we have a workshop in which we discuss aspects of chess tactics and strategy, and analyse games, both those of famous or well known players and those played by group members. The group is family friendly and our Wednesday evenings are attended by adults, children, men and women. We welcome new members of all standards. We are interested in meeting other clubs on chess.com to play Vote Chess and team games, as well as participating in other kinds of chess event. Membership of the group is presently restricted to those who come along to the MAP Cafe. (Note that the MAP Cafe has lots of chess sets for those who might like to come along and play at other times.)
