About Slow Swiss #7: Cygnus mentioned that he wasn't sure that he would be participating in #7. I also noticed something that's different from Slow Swiss #6........ Xandico is moving up in the world! I didn't realize it until now; Xandico is not rated over 1400 in standard Live chess. This means that we have maxed out on players over 1400. Ole, tjmaxattack and xandico are over 1400 and we are allowed a maximum of 3 players over 1400. This means that Cygnus will not be able to join us for Slow Swiss #7, even if his schedule changes. Maybe he can coach us from time to time. (I don't know if this is workable, either - because of his schedule). If we want to add another player, they can't be over 1400. Cygnus and everyone else, please give some feedback about this. Thanks, guys!

Obviously this would only work if a few of us have similar times where we could get together... but it's an idea driven by DJAbacus's idea of Skype me.. Since we are not all premium members we couldn't use the chess.com analysis board but i was wondering if we could use Skype.. and use some database software like chessbase or SCID & share screens (hopefully we can share screens with more than one person) and we could chat live about positions, openings etc... sure one person would be in control of the board and moving pieces (unlike if we could use the chess.com analysis) but it would probably be far superior than text type communication about similar things.. Unless of course we couldn't make a meeting time that suits at least a few of us... anyone want to try it out with me at some point? Thanks, Dean

What do we do as a team? Do we strategise about upcoming games? Do a little training? Never been part of a team in a chess event (or played an OTB tournament for that matter). Wondering what goes on... Thanks, Dean
