The Intellectual Chess Players group was started on July 20, 2014 by Awesomechess1729 who is still our Superadmin. Good job Awesomechess!
As we are about to celebrate our 3 years anniversary, I will be posting 4 or 5 articles here in the forums to tell about the history of our group. The plan is to post the first article here today and add a new one every Saturday for the next three, maybe four, Saturdays.

This first article is about our vote chess history.

Please take notice:
In our vote games, if it is a one day per move game, we want to wait till the clock is on 12 hours or less before we vote.
If it is a 2 days or 3 days per move game, please do NOT vote until the clock is on 24 hours or less. We need time to discuss and find the best move.
Please don't vote early! But if it is the first 2 or 3 moves in a game, early voting is OK.
Also, if you see a move good enough to win your vote, please tell the rest of us about it in the comments of the game. We should not see votes for a move that has never been mentioned in the comments.
Also be aware that your vote is not secret. In v3 once a person voes, they can see who have voted for each move and when they voted.

Most of you here know that I have been shooting wildlife/nature photography for years. About a year ago I started noticing that a lot of everyday things in my area reflect American history. I started taking pictures of those things and posting them on my fb page. They were well received and that started me to thinking about having a web site of my own.
