As-salamu alaykum brothers and sisters! I begin this topic as I am trying to figure out what happened with The Muslims group, now called Jamshedy group. I didn't get much answers from the posts on notes, I couldn't find any forum topics regarding this, but here's what I figured out so far: The Muslims group had it's name changed to Jamshedy group. I'm not sure what's the reason for this, but I would surely like to find out. Jamshedy is the owner of the group, the super-admin and he has the ability (given to him by www.chess.com settings) do what he choses with his group. But he cannot chose for his members and I really think that a name change should have been discussed before applied. After all, a group also belongs to each and every member of that group and it doesn't seem fair to disregard the opinion of more than 700 members. I've been promoted to admin back when Jamshedy group was called The Muslims. No one asked me to be an admin (it's a very difficult task to perform, lots of responsibilities and time consuming), but I've done my job gladly and as best I could. Nevertheless, it was the first decision that I've not been asked about and affected me directly. The changing of the group name is the second decision taken for me without being asked. Insha'Allah, will be the last one on this group. I will leave this one and join The Muslims. The Muslims group has been recreated here, at http://www.chess.com/groups/home/the-muslims and already 600+ members joined in. Also, group ISLAM http://www.chess.com/groups/home/islam is an alternative with 1900+ members available for those that left or think of leaving the Jamshedy group. Peace be upon you brothers! How are you brothers? How did you live the Ramadan and how helped you Allah this Ramadan? Everybody can leave here his opinion and his experience from this year. I will start. This is my first Ramadan! I embraced Islam this year. This Ramadan i learned the importance of the prayer. I didn´t understand why a muslim has to pray 5 times a day....I thought that it´s a dogma created of the humans, like the church has a lot of dogmas that are not in the Byble. So Allah iluminate me reading the Quran. All my answer and all the answers of our question are in the Quran: The moments of the prayer: ´´So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied. ´´(sura 20,verse130) Allah don´t ask us difficult things: ´´And enjoin prayer upon your family [and people] and be steadfast therein. We ask you not for provision; We provide for you, and the [best] outcome is for [those of] righteousness. (sura20,verse132) Allah advising us to pray: ´´Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance.´´ (sura20 verse14) ´´And I did not create the jinn and mankind except to worship Me.´´ (Sura 51 v 56) ´´O you who have believed, seek help through patience and prayer. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.´´ (sura2, 153) The succes and the reward of who pray: ¨´He has certainly succeeded who purifies himself (14) And mentions the name of his Lord and prays.´´ (sura 87,15) ´´But those who hold fast to the Book and establish prayer - indeed, We will not allow to be lost the reward of the reformers. Sura(7,170) Prayer prohibits immorality: ´´Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. ´´Sura (29,45) The warnings that Allah give us to those who leave, who abandon the prayer: ´´And whoever turns away from My remembrance - indeed, he will have a depressed life, and We will gather him on the Day of Resurrection blind." (sura 20, 124) The comparison between the one who pray and the one who don´t pray: ´´Is one who is devoutly obedient during periods of the night, prostrating and standing [in prayer], fearing the Hereafter and hoping for the mercy of his Lord, [like one who does not]? Say, "Are those who know equal to those who do not know?" Only they will remember [who are] people of understanding.´´ Sura (39,9) ´´indeed, Allah is not satisfied with a defiantly disobedient people.´´(sura 9, 96) I hope i didn´t bored you brothers. I searched a lot and i confess that Islam is the true religion. There are muslims with american origins, indonesian, chinese, romanians, indians, turks, spanish and more. I excuse myself for those that i didn´t mentioned. And also are people that before was christians, budists, hinduists, atheists, that now believe in Islam and that are muslims... So my call it´s for the members from this group who converted to Islam from another belief. People that embraced Islam at 15 years old, 20, 25, 35, 50 etc, etc..people that in one moment of their life searched the truth and when they finded it they embraced it, embracing Islam. (الحشر : 10). • {رَبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ * رَبَّنَا لا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ}..
