Those of you who have made it up to Lesson005 in my program have seen my recommendation to take up the King's Indian Attack as White. Essentially, your first 10 moves or so are the same, almost no matter what Black plays. This saves you study time learning how to play against other Black defenses should ou open 1.e4 or 1. d4. Then, you may use this saved time to work on other aspects of your game. What I have done is started a number of Online games here at Chess.com utilizing the KIA. I am playing this opening to help teach it to you. Ideally, I would like to make videos for all of them, but right now, it isn't feasible as they do take up a fair amount of my time. Just looking at them will give you an idea of the types of middle games White can acquire. The videos already made will explain some of the ideas. In this thread, I will post the games as they finish, with a few brief comments. Have a look at them. They tend to lead to level positions and you may draw a bit more often than normal, but hey, that's ok, you aren't losing! If you can hold a stronger player to a draw, that's success, and rating points! Also, I have a Live games series going on my website and a fw KIA's have been played and videos are ready to go. Here's the link, examine at your leisure: http://aww-rats.webs.com/playmelive.htm In the game with corey561, I commited one of my patented one move blunders, but he promptly returned the favor, and then timed out of all his games. I am going to make chess masters out of all of you! Here is a 15 5 game unrated game I played recently with PawnPusher3: Ok, more games coming, as they complete.

Chess develops logical thinking. Just requires some understanding of logical strategy. For example, you will learn the importance of bringing your pieces out into the game at the beginning, to keep your King safe, not to make weaknesses in your position or blunder away your pieces. Mistakes are inevitable and chest, like life is a never-ending learning process Chess promotes imagination and creativity. It encourages you to be inventive. Chess teaches independence. You will also have to lose hundreds of games before becoming a good player .” Chess develops the scientific way of thinking. While playing, you generate numerous variations in your mind. You explore new ideas, try to predict their outcomes and interpret surprising revelations . You decide on a hypothesis and then you make your move and test it. Chess and Mathematics. And you use your head to calculate, not some machine. Chess and Art. In the great Soviet encyclopedia chess is defined as “an art appearing in the form of a game.” If you thought you could never be an artist chess proves you wrong. Common question, where are the videos? They are posted at the top of the main page, right above the video! Here is the link again, sorted by playlists. I recommend starting with the free video lessons playlist. Lesson one teaches you to teach yourself to be better at chess. http://www.youtube.com/user/BobbyJFischer1943/playlists Don't promote your club, other chess videos, or tournaments in this club! I hate banning people who don't read what's on the main club page! And hopefully you read this warning! Have a question,? Ask it here! Someone will be along to assist. Before you start a topic in this forum, see if a related one already exists! We will have to close your topic and you will need to post it again, in the proper place! Thanks NM Coach-Bill

Note, I have posted this in main forums, now I am going to post it in every group I belong to, and update each one when a new video comes out, and they will come out rapidly! Looking for a new defense to 1.e4? Well, the Nizmovtich Defense could be exactly what you're looking for. I summarize 26 years experience playing this defense to give the main ideas. I t has held up for me as a viable defense and it avoids all the popular lines White has prepared for. More videos will follow soon.
