If you haven’t done so yet, read this news on getting trophies: https://www.chess.com/news/view/trophies-4 If you have not already done so, change your settings to “receive messages only from friends” off. I am not friends with a lot of you, so I will not be able to message you. For some of you, there is no need to message you. But I can’t even send you your trophies. So please, change your settings. Thanks everyone!

say on person says “Funky Swimsuit” swap the first word, and keep the second word. So you could do, “Swimsuit Box” but you can’t do “Funky Box” also please do two words and not one. And it is supposed to be completely random. Also don’t do this: You said: Sheep Tissue You Said: Tissue Towel You said: Towel Bunny Please do not comment if the last comment in this forum was yours, so wait till someone else comments. What I’m saying is don’t comment back to back. Now, for the fun part. Play! I will start: Pencil Monkey

The invisible enemy An invisible enemy... Something we can't hear… Tragedy is near, It's coming... It takes away those we hold dear; The ventilators are all we hear; Our tissues running out It's coming... As they draw the curtains, We can hear The sobbing, the wailing, The scuffing of shoes on tile floor... Death is near... It's coming… Death doesn't discriminate Between the sinners and the saints It takes and it takes and it takes, The horrible picture it paints... It's coming... And the curve, oh the curve; It’s climbing, higher and higher; So steep, Spreading like fire; It’s coming... The exponential growth claims lives Oh why, oh why, oh why? Separating families, Ruining many lives It's coming… Hand sanitizer running out, Disinfectant gone, People use liquors and strong alcohol as a way to sterilize; It’s all they have, they’ll make do It’s coming…. But that’s no surprise, The epidemiologists see our demise; Their knowledge grim, They are the ones who are wise In these pandemic times It’s coming… They graph it on a chart, The line’s rise breaking hearts, As the virus does its part It’s coming.... An infection brews, The lungs inflamed; It starts out like the flu. It’s coming… But don’t be fooled Death stands at the door; takes the very young and old We think We hope That they’ll get through It’s coming... Scythe in hand, It’s gaze cold, People gone without a thought From him It’s coming... Doctors spread thin, Our loved ones comatose… ‘Blood infection’, they said, And move on to the next bed It’s coming… We pray they’ll be okay, But we know in our gut That we have to let them go; Doctors pull the plug No, no, no... It’s coming... Health workers are our saviours, But they have no masks to wear; No gloves to protect; From the invisible death That looms ahead; Now they have it too… It’s coming... Ventilators whoosh, Monitors beep, The sea of crammed beds almost too much to bear Nurses go from patient to patient, On their breaks they weep And cry themselves to sleep It’s coming... They think of the ones they could have saved; If only they had the staff, The resources, The money; ‘If only we prepared better’ They think... It’s coming... But let’s not be too severe; As there’s always hope near, Light at the end of the tunnel It’s here… There may still be time, The answer just isn’t clear It’s here… All we can do is stay put, In our homes, And hope And pray That coronavirus will go away It’s here… Social isolation, Hand sanitation, Covering your cough and sneeze; All ways to prevent the spread It’s here… That coronavirus, It caused the path of life to swerve We need to flatten the curve, Or mother earth will give us the punishment we deserve... It's coming.... Now It’s here…

All the talk nowadays is about Corona (not the beer) and how dangerous or deadly it is. This is far from the case. It has a current mortality rate of only 3.4%, making it far less deadly than its cousin, SARS-CoV, which has a mortality rate of 49%! You only need to be concerned if you or a loved one is elderly, very young, are immunocompromised, or are going through chemotherapy or other treatments that lower the body's ability to fight off infections. The reason people are so afraid is because this is a new, different type of Coronavirus (the family of viruses which cause the common cold, SARS, among other things) and we don't know a lot about it. The CDC, WHO and other places have relevant, accurate up-to-date and helpful information about this, and the facts are changing hourly. Feel free to tell me if this info is not relevant anymore, I will update as needed. If you are concerned about going to large gatherings, such as chess tournaments or concerts, but still want to go if they aren't canceled yet, try to stay at least 6 feet (1.8m) away from others and don't touch your face. And remember, everyone, wash your hands! This is the best way to stop the spread of germs.
