We're off and racing in the Cuban Cup 2015! There's a few Cuban natives in the competition, they're pretty keen to perform well in their home competition, as is Condo after his false start in the Irish Open 2015, so watch out for them. Welcome back to the WCT Chairman Wolf after a self-imposed exile to the Tibetan mountains to study chess with Buddist monks for the past year. Honest Jon and his crew partied so hard after reaching the semis in their home tournament the Irish Open recently that he was too hung-over to win a game in the semis. Expect him to knuckle down again now and advance again. RookieJig is fast proving that the "rookie" title is just a ruse to lure opponents into a false sense of security... beware. We are due an abusive email from Tinboy soon surely, he's been too quiet so far this year. Finalist in all WCT events this year, Bunny Knutsson will have his work cut out for him being the 3rd ranked in his group now in the Cuban, but with 2 players from each group advancing, 'Money on Bunny' would be a smart investment for any punter worth his salt. Ivaaaan and NoGary face up again but they are yet to capture their top chess form from 2013 and 2010 respectively, will the Cuban be their ticket back to the top? BrettThur is somewhat of a giant killer, but seems unable to find consistency to get out of the group regularly... expect him to either advance or wreck the group for the other players with some upsets. KimJoki had his pants pulled down by the Söder boys in the Irish Open, expect him to be wiser now and hit back hard in the Cuban! Good luck and enjoy everybody!
