Seems to be a lack of chat here so i thought i would add a few things that have been on my mind. I started playing chess a couple of years ago and started off at below 1000 and have managed to struggle a new child and work to get to 1500. Is this ok? or should i expect something more?

Ok so its me again!! i think its becaus ei am on half term holidays!! so question number two!! whats the best tool etc to improve.. aws my peviouse post io have managed to get to 1500 from 1000. The funny thing is that i have heard it said that chess is 99% tactics yet my tatctics trainer ( which started at around 400!!) has improved to 2000.. i have read a few books such as 1e4! what are your tips please please please??

So i am new at this forum and group thingy so i thought i would introduce my self and well at least have a forum post as to who we are. I have been playing on and off for two or three years and started off below 1000 and have moved up to 1500 and now i seem to have hit a stumbling block. something to do with strong and weak squares.. i dont tthink i can quite see them, I have an idea of waht an out post is and i feel like i am on the verge of grasping certain ideas but they seem to flutter away!! well their you go thats me and why i joined.. so who are you guys??

Does anyone here want to be admin or know good people to recruit?
