well lets say they go to a bathroom or something if youre nice guy you can just give them some extra time !
Add 15 seconds

I love this button, its great!! I even requested it
When you play with friends for fun and the time is going out, I just add my friend 15 seconds, so we can continue playing. I can repeat it as often as I think its necessary.
For me, the perfect button

I know, I was playing one of my friend a 30 min game and it had the give 15 sec to:______ and I gave him so many secs that he had 1 hour and he made me go up to 45 min. It could be an entertainer. LOL

I agree! sometimes you are playing a friend and they get low on time, but you don't want to just win on time, so you add 15 seconds so you can continue the game! After all, you could be in an unrated game in a critical position and not want to lose the learning opportunity!

Yeah, I noticed it too, and it's cool!
So my friend was having a snack, so every 15 secs I gave him 15 secs. I won the game because I got a snack, too, and forgot to give him 15 secs

It can only be used in non-tournament games and its just for fun. you can use it as often or little as you like.

I think chess.com should apply this only in casual games because you wanted to play a live chess game as a fide game.

Example?
So we can make a blitz game become a 1 hour game but still affect the blitz rating?
yup
Recently I noticed a button in my live games that says Add 15 sec to _______'s clock. You can see in my most recent game (today), one of my friends challenged me a 3 minute blitz, I accepted, and, well, decided to have some fun and gave my opponent about 53 minutes of time. Why do we have this button? Is it to be nice? And it should probably just be a one use button, right? Thx, Checkmatefun2018
Edit: WOW ok didn't expect that many people to respond.
