Amazon Jungle is a variant of chess on chess.com. It is a 2 player game. The game is all about points that are gained by capturing green generals between red and yellow(the 2 players). To win, one has to obtain enough points to claim the win or either checkmate the opponent.
Pieces of Amazon Jungle
The Amazon Jungle includes the following pieces:
1. Grasshopper king: The king in Amazon Jungle is grasshopper which can only jump over pieces so it is very easy to checkmate the grasshopper king and that's the strategy I have used to become a quite good player in Amazon Jungle.
2. Chancellor/Marshal/Empress: On the sides, we find the chancellor, which is also called empress or marshal. It can move like a knight or a rook. Their value is 7 points each.
3. Camel/Long Knight: The second piece from the sides is the camel or the long knight. It moves like an elongated knight(1 step more than a knight). It helps me to expose the opponent's king. At the end of this article, I have posted some links of matches for reference on how to checkmate your opponent king in less than 10 moves.Their value is 3 points each.
4. Knight: Next, we find the knights. We all know about knights and they are important here as well. Their value is also 3 points.
5. Archbishop/Princess: Archbishops are bishop + knight. We find one archbishop next to the grasshopper king and one more next to the knight. They also have a significant role in many of my wins. Their value is also 7 points.
6. Wildebeest: Next to the king, we find a wildebeest. There is only 1 wildebeest in Amazon Jungle and its value is 5 points. It can move like a camel or a knight.
