if by 2v2 you are referring to teams, then you need to be aware of mating patterns that can happen as early as move 2. the king's bishop pawn is especially vulnerable in the New Standard setup. You may want to prioritize blocking the diagonals that target that square.

In, teams you never get a chance to be down in material and then fight your way back, except in advanced endgames sometimes. If you make a positional mistake its most often mate in 1,2, or 3.

that is very often not true unless you're down more than 7-9 pts of material
