Card Games

I like to play cards also- namely Gin Rummy with my wife, Pinochle, Euchre, Canasta on the pc.  Any other card players here?

my "Other" games are checkers, pool checkers, go, tablut, dominoes....

cards: card magic, pinochle (double deck cut-throat for quarters!)..

....cribbage?....

I don't know how to play this game but i have heared from a lot of chess players that is really interesting and very complicated.I think has the most compilations from all the card games.I know it as "Blitz"

From wikipedia:Biriba (Greek: Μπιρίμπα) is a Greek card game which can be played with either two people, or any number of pairs of people. When played with two people or two pairs, then two decks of cards are used. If played with three pairs, then three decks are used and so on. Sometimes, Biriba can also be played with three people (no pairs), and two decks. However, the most common way is playing with two pairs.

aristeidis9, the first game, scat, is one I have played and enjoy quite a bit.  Its not complicated at all- add cards of the same suit, if you make 31 everyone "pays" a penny or whatever (you get yours back at the end) if you score the highest when you knock the lowest hand pays, and if you knock and someone else has a higher hand then you pay.  lots of fun- the other, Biriba, is not one I am familiar with.  I have been playing a lot of 2 handed pinochle lately.

Another classical,i don't know how is it in English is when two players take from 4 or 6 cards each.They throw their cards until someone has the same so he takes all the cards.With spade you take them.You have to collect points

Ξερή-kseri.Sorry not with spade but with Jacks!So a player takes all the cards that are already at the table if his opponent throws a card that he has or if he has Jack.Then if his opponent throw another card that he has is ten points (Ξερή),because at the table there are no cards at this time.The points goes:

4 points the jacks

4 points the access

3 points the person that has the majority of cards at the end

3 points the diamond ten

2 points the trefoil two        sum=16 points.

The game is playing and with four persons-two teams of two persons collecting the same points

Very interesting also is Poker-Cincinati and Texas hold 'em are the best versions for me.And Blackjack of course!
