Welcome to the CC25 Knockout Cup, and we have 46 teams registered to compete in this years competition.
This year, the last 16 from the CC24 cup get an automatic bye through to the 2nd Round. The following teams will be seeded in the 2nd Round (Hertfordshire, Lancashire L&L, Kent Checkmates, Team Dorset, Lanarkshire, Somerset Wyvern, London, Inverness, Tayside Fife and Stirlingshire, Glamorgan, Team Sussex, Team Buckinghamshire, Edinburgh-Lothian, Northern Knights, Norfolk Knights, Royal County of Berkshire), and will play the winner of the 14 Round One matches. To make up numbers, the top two finishers in the CC23 league (Herefordshire-Worcestershire-Shropshire and Team Surrey, will also get a bye and will play one of the seeded teams in Round 2. The round Two matches with both opponents ready, can be started straight away.
The minimum number of players per matches will remain the same as last year. In Round One the minimum will be 6. In all other rounds the minimum will be 8.
***Once a player plays for a team in the 2025 Cup that will be their designated team for all County Championship competitions in 2025, including the rated limited leagues e.g. U1600, U1300.

Tayside Fife & Stirlingshire have asked for a deferment of their round two match with Surrey to September, due to fixture congestion. If Surrey admins are ok with this, I am happy to allow it.

Tayside Fife and Stirlingshire and Surrey have agreed to defer the start of their 2nd Round match due to fixture congestion; the price of success! Proposed start date 18th September (5 weeks after Round 1 kicks off) with challenge issued on 4th September.
