That's pretty cool! Was your iPad on a 3G or WiFi connection? You should show how it works for playing and setting up a position and doing other ChessBasey stuff
Chess Base for iPad! Oh AND it works!

Just using Wifi. I didn't pay the extra for 3G. Yeah maybe I will put together another video on setting up positons and all that. It works well, the app has a mouse you can use on the screen to click, right click, pull up the keyboard and what not. For what I am using it for, it works perfect. I will test it this weekend from outside my home network and see how the sound and video does remotely.

cool ... so it basically just uses the ipad as a (mirrored) screen for your desktop computer. right?
does it work for mac too? i guess running windows on bootcamp would work with wyse... does it also work with emulated windows on the mac?
do you have chessmaster installed? if so, could you please test it ?
thanks

TongLen,
Basically the app allows for Remote Desktop connection so I am connecting directly to my PC from my iPad. The requirments are a Windows Computer
Remote Desktop Connection enabled on a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows OS (Wyse PocketCloud and Wyse PocketCloud Windows Companion software support a 32-bit or 64-bit Windows OS):
- Windows 2003 Standard/Enterprise with SP2 or later
- Windows 2008 Enterprise
- Window XP Media Center Edition with SP2 or later
- Windows XP Pro with SP2 or later
- Windows Vista Business/Enterprise/Ultimate with SP1 or later
- Windows Vista - Business, Enterprise, Ultimate with SP1 or later
- Windows 7 - Professional, Enterprise or Ultimate only
For bootcamp I think it would work fine as it has support for VMware, of course if you boot directly to Windows via the Apple shouldn't be any problems at all. I do not have chessmaster but what ever app you are using will work through the RDP session Word, Excel, or what ever. I also was using it to browse flash sites and it worked fine as well.
Joey

thanks.
i bought it yesterday and everything in windows works fine... only chessmaster chrashes (it can open it... and the intro video is playing VERY laggy, then when i tap anywhere or wait till the video is finished it crashes)
i don't have fritz yet... (are the videos really watchable? soundquality?)
i stay in my apartment (wifi)... just wanna lay on the couch, watching the learning materials
anybody got chessmaster running on pocketcloud ipad?
You actually don't need to pay any money for this functionality. You can download VNC Lite for free in the app store and it basically does the same thing, streaming your computer screen to your iPad/iPhone. There is probably a little more setup involved, but its probably worth it to save $15 or $30 or something.

You maybe right, however I don't know how well VNC does sound. I personally have not messed around with it myself on the iPad but I know Chicken of the VNC for OSX does not support sound. That is the big issue with a lot of the remote control apps is they do not do sound, so for $14.99 I don't feel like I was getting ripped off I felt like I was getting what I paid for. Just to get an overview of what I am talking about here is a bunch of the remote apps. As you can see a bunch do not support sound.

Oh yeah it works, and it works well! All you need to Wyse for iPad or iPod a Windows computer, and a copy of Chess Base. I only tested this on the iPad so I can not verify how well it works on an iPod but why not? Anyways the app is $14.99 which allows you to connect to a remote computer and sound works unlike the Logmein Ignition product which is $29.99. Here is a video of me using the app on my iPad. Enjoy
