To maintain a safe & respectful community here, it is necessary for all to follow these rules: (you may react with a thumbs up)
Community Rules:
Treat others with kindness, helpfulness, and forgiveness.
Please do not use foul language. Even words or abbreviations that may be appropriate to you may not be suitable to others. “Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear.” (Ephesians 4:29).
Avoid exhibiting any form of bigotry, or making violent threats towards others.
Refrain from abusing, attacking, threatening or mistreating fellow members in any manner.
Do not disrupt or derail threads, engage in trolling, or post irrelevant or meaningless content anywhere in the club (it will be deleted, and if a forum, locked for 24 hours, then deleted).
Do not post spam or advertisements (includes talking about and sharing links to clubs, blogs, profiles, and/or public forums).
Refrain from publicly debating religious or political topics.
Do not post explicit or pornographic content.
Do not engage in discussions involving illegal activities.
Do not ask for a promotion for yourself or anyone publicly; this is punishable.
Do not ask about anyone's personal information.
Discussion of hacking is not allowed.
Arguing or being passive-aggressive with anyone will not be tolerated.
Overly childish content/excessive slangs are not allowed.
Do not feed the trolls. Interacting with them gives them what they want, and is punishable.
When playing daily matches, simply follow our club’s Sportsmanship Policy. All of the rules that remain below will apply solely to Vote Chess (VC).
Teamwork in VC is the most important part: Talk about strategies and ideas with the team before you vote. You can suggest the notation of the move e.g 2...Nf3 or if you have the time, create a diagram with the plan of the move and your ideas. This increases the chances everyone understands that the move being voted for is better.
Respect the opinions of all members: Be polite and constructive in your discussions and votes.
Listen to higher rated players or captains if you don't know where to move.
When should you make a move in a VC game? There is someone called the VC captain. He tells you after a certain time which move to vote for. This VC captain takes the best move out of the discussions and then says that you should vote for this move. It will look like this: “Vote Call: Nf3”
If there is a Vote Call, vote for it! If there is no vote call, you can choose your favorite move.
Do not sabotage vote chess games by intentionally casting votes for unfavorable moves.
