It's blue, not orange as far as I can tell.
I highlighted this entire sentence in orange, @N8Playz.
Even then it still shows blue.

Red is for titled players
Yellow is yourself
Blue is for friends? (but some people I have friended don't show up as blue, unless I open in another tab, idk)
Green is for chess.com staff
I don't think you can get orange in any way.
But this brings up something.
Why don't colored usernames come with premium or something? That would be like flairs.

Yes there should be colored usernames.
not every one knows the difference between orange and yellow You name turns yellow in the in game chats
