GCA REPUBLIC DAY CHESS TOURNAMENT 2021

1. The tournament will be conducted in chess.com platform.
2. To participate in the tournament, one must have chess.com id. If any one doesn’t have chess.com id he may create by visiting chess.com
3. The tournament will be conducted in swiss league system for 5 rounds.
4. The Time control will be 10 min with 3 second increment from move number 1.
5. In order to conduct tournament a chess.com club GCA REPUBLIC DAY CHESS TOURNAMENT is created. Players are required to join the club by clicking following link.

1. The tournament will start at 7 pm sharp.
2. Players must have to join the tournament after 6 pm and before 6.45 pm using the tournament link which will be shared at 3 pm at this group.
3. Players must ensure good internet connection during the game. Players might forfeit their games due to poor internet connection.
4. Organizer shall not be responsible for any network/internet issue.
5. Entire pairing. Preparation of final ranking and all the rules shall be managed by chess.com and there will be no human interference in these matters.
6. It is advisable to access chess, com through chrome browser for better performances.
7. Taking outside help or using computer software during tournament is strictly prohibited. If anyone is found to be taking computer help during tournament will be removed from final ranking list and also their names will be forwarded to All India Chess Federation and World Chess Federation for further action.
8. All the rounds will be played one after another. Once all the matches are complete in one round the next rounds shall start. Players are advised not to leave browser between rounds.
9. Players should make their first move within 10 second of starting of their time. Else they may lose their games.
10. Cut-off date for determining age group for players is January1,2021.
