Thanks for the reply. I don't think the link works. It works on y PC but my phone just sits there...
What is Play Store application? There doesn't seem to be an App installed called anything similar to that.

I've just seen the following comment on Chess.Com's help pages. I find this statement to be pretty outlandish !!!! Can this really be true?
"Please note the mobile app will not work on most touch screen phones."

I think its linked. When I put an event in my google calendar on my PC, I get reminders about it on my phone. Does that mean its linked?

I seem to have a lot of trouble with the Google Play Store. I have no Play Store icon but I can go to
That page gives me lots of trouble. First, it comes up with lots of 'Security Certificate' problems. If I cancel those, I don't get anywhere at all, they just keep coming up. If I 'continue' from those warnings, the page sometimes loads and sometimes it just locks up my Internet access. This is a total lock-up of my Internet; wherever I try to access the Internet, it will jump to that same page (the play.google page) and continue trying to load it - the only way to get my Internet back is to remove my battery!
Having had all that trouble, after some 20 hours of trying, I can sometimes manage to get to the download page (this one https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.chess&hl=en) the green icon which previously said 'Install now says 'Installed'
Looking good so far but I can't find the App anywhere. It isn't in my list of Apps which I've installed previously (Angry Birds, Guitar Chords, etc.) and if I go to the menu through Settings, Applications, Manage Applications, there doesn't seem to be any sign of it there. I can see all my other Apps which I've installed (Angry Birds, Guitar Chords, etc.) but nothing to do with Chess.
Thanks for your help so far, guys. Am I making progress? This is very frustrating.

I think its time for me to give up trying to get the Chess.Com App on my Android phone.
I have spent some time with Chess.Com customer support and have to applaud them on achieving a level of incompetence which needs to be seen to be believed.
Thanks for your attempts guys, at least you gave me a little hope.

It is a San Fransico Mobile phone, originally sold by Orange. About 2 or 3 years old. When I look at the Settings/About Phone menu it tells me...

Title says it all really. I can't find any instructions anywhere on Chess.Com about how to install the App to play my Online and Live games on my phone (whilst on holiday.)
There doesn't seem to be a Chess.Com app in the phone Marketplace and if I go to Chess.Com Internet page on the phone and trawl through to the Android page (this one http://www.chess.com/play/android ) and try the link there, I get lots of 'security error' messages and nothing more.
Help!
