I NEED AN EASY POEM TO MEMORIZE!

Pawnsole Thanks but I don't even understand anything, also no author. Goodnight!
Writch:
Thanks but it is too short and no author also.
Everyone else:
Thanks for reading this anyway.

Actually, mine was just a commentary on Pawn's link - an all too brief parody.
At the other end of Pawn's link was, shall we say, an animated interpretation of Dylan Thomas' Do Not Go Gentle Into that Good Night....
I just thought that it was such ill treatment of the classic, that my two lines were but borrowed snippets cautioning the curious clickers.
However, that Dylan piece (not the animated version) was a great recommendation; too bad it was missed. But I hope you were able to come up with something for your assignment. Good luck in the rest of the course.

Hey Pawnsolo
Thanks so much for going to the trouble of posting it. I played both of the version of "Fire and Ice" I will print it out.
I like it, now I have to memorize it by November the 14th. I hope I can come accrosss like Richard Burton did. He has a great voice.
Thank you.

Hey everybody. I tried so hard to memorize that simple poem. It seems that I have trouble with a word here and there. I can almost ace the poem.
On the 14th at the front of the class I went blank.
I had to read the poem from the paper. My problem see that my short term memory is being effected by my age. My long term memory is fine. I can remember stuff from the 1940's and 50's. I can remember chess games I played and I can play blindfold games.
But learning something new in the short term I really suck.
Have a nice Thanksgiving Holiday and don't eat too much turkey.

Bye for now, but pass me the gravy!
Hello Poets!
I am so bad with poetry and I dislike it.
I need a EASY poem to learn by November 14th, 2011.
I'm taking a creative writing course at the Jr. College and I have to memorize a short poem, not one that I have written. It should be at least 16 lines. Preferably one by a recognized poet.
Maybe by someone that is dead.
I went to simple little poems post by kuttiecc, but they didn't have author's.
I thought of Paul Revere's ride by longfellow. I had to learn the start of it in high school. It can also be a nursery rhyme but it has to have a poet's name.
Thanks in advance.
