That is one of the most stupid reasons to quit something bruh. If the only reason you are playing a variant is for a bigger number well then just quit. Calling my younger self out here but if you quit playing a variant because of your rating not going up, you aren't playing to get better and have fun but instead you are just playing for a bigger number that won't show your skill in an accurate way. You should try to actively improve which will naturally boost your rating and give you the ability to beat tougher players.
