Also if it says lava somewhere I meant Java. As I already told you, my keyboard is garbage
Java or bedrock?

I've concluded that Java is better for competitive players (and adults), while Bedrock, being more accessible, is more suitable for casual players (and kids).

It wasn't fully concluded because there are always people on both sides who disagree on opinions, features (Which just means differences.) and more. I personally think it depends on the player. Most console players are totally confused when first trying Java, and a few just find Java really easy, like myself and some of my friends. Other times when a computer player plays Bedrock they get confused about how to play, since the combat systems and everything makes it almost a completely different game on the PvP side.
In general I think both are great versions, and you should play with whatever type of gaming system you feel you are better at or you use more often.

...and a few just find Java really easy, like myself and some of my friends.
In what way?

I and 2 of my friends who play Bedrock decided to try Java on another friends computer, when said friend claimed Java is 100% harder than Bedrock in all aspects and that Bedrock players have little to no skill, so we set off to prove him wrong. Only 1 member of the group of us had played any computer games before, so he had a little more skill then the rest of us, though none of us had played Java before (To the best of my knowledge).
Challenge: 5 PvP games against randoms, 3 Bedwars games (Solos), and 4 Skywars (Solos) games.
The results:
We each had 15 minutes to get used to the controls on a single player world, before playing Hypixel.
One of my friends (The one who played on computers sometimes.): Ended up doing awesome in PvP, winning 5 of the 6 duels they played, that was pretty much the only area he succeeded in though, he won a Bedwars game out of the 3 he played, but it was mostly through the other teams killing each other. He ended up doing pretty well on Skywars though, getting 4 or 5 kills each game (He fought mostly noobs though.)
The second friend (Never played computer games.): Did a little worse, only won 2 of the 5 PvP duels, and somehow was great at Bedwars and Skywars, winning 2 of the games he played in Bedwars, and 2 of the 4 Skywars games. His main strat was knocking people off of bridges and islands.
I did alright on PvP, winning 2 of the 5 games I played as well. I only won 1 of the Bedwars games and I won 2 Skywars games. What I was surprised at though was how easily speed-bridging was. I tried it out in Bedwars and didn't end up dying. I tried it out on a practice bridging area and I made it about 30 blocks on each attempt.
On the case of basic survival we all did really well, and when none of us ended up dying at the start we were placed in the Nether. Only the friend who had never played computer games before ended up dying in the 20 minutes we were told to survive, we couldn't stop moving and we had enough food so we wouldn't lose sprint, so it wasn't like we were held up in a corner. This was all on Normal difficulty.
So in my opinion Java is a great game, and skill in all areas is really impressive and takes practice. But, it can be easy for some people in different aspects. This goes with both versions, people struggle and succeed in different areas of the game, and in my opinion they simply can't be compared with all the differences between the versions.
Before anyone says they can be compared, this of this:
The way you build is different.
The way you break blocks is different.
The way hunger works is different.
The way PvP works is different.
The way mobs work is different.
The way the player takes damage is different.
Redstone is different.
Modding is different.
Server building is different.
Even how knockback and sprinting works is different.
Bedrock was built from scratch to work with mobile and console, which means it has little to nothing matching with the code of Java.
There are hundreds of differences, and with there being features that make both versions awesome and bad it is (In my opinion) impossible to pick a winner, with both sides of the community debating about which version is better, with neither side stepping down.
At this point Java could be considered a totally different game to Minecraft. (This statement is because the creators of Minecraft decided to take out the "Minecraft Bedrock Edition" and change it to just "Minecraft", and changing Java to "Minecraft Java Edition" showing favoritism to Bedrock over Java. Now I'm totally up for making both games the same, compatible, and able to be connected, but I don't think that will happen any time soon, and until we have finished products with the games or an accurate rating system, I don't think we will be able to accurately grade/rate the games until the versions reach an ending.
Since both Bedrock and Java have had updates in the past that were unappealing to the community, making one game tip over the other multiple times, though recently they have been so close most people can't make a decision because of the similarities and differences /playstyles/ preferences/and system usages.
Either way though, they are both great versions and I promote playing on whichever device you play more often or feel like you are more conformable with.
(Sorry for the long text, I don't expect you to read it all or agree with what I said. If I misstyped something or made an obvious error please leave a note below and I'll be prompt to fix it.)

I play both, but I mainly play Bedrock.

Um, maybe you should review what you just wrote.

Java, Java, and more Java Edition. Why? Often tormented by graphics in bedrock, controls also interfere. and indeed - why play Bedrock on a small smartphone when you can on a laptop?

Also, when did your friends do this challenge thing?
Sorry about all that I wrote, I see that it was pretty redundant and didn't make a lot of sense. Hopefully what I was trying to say makes relative sense though.
The challenge was in early July. The 7th or 8th I think.
We had an argument before hand and we decided to determine which was better. We didn't reach any conclusions.
Ok I know this is like the first debate that comes I. Mind when you play Minecraft for the first time but what are really the advantages of playing in either bedrock or Java? Personally I think bedrock is much smoother than Java and the controllers are more comfortable in my opinion. On the other hand Java has mods, the most famous Minecraft servers, and advanced options that can’t be accessed in bedrock it also has some differences like red stone and the amazing servers like hypixel which makes Java and bedrock feel almost like a completely different game. I personally prefer bedrock just because of the controls and for some reason biomes seem to generate in much cooler structures than Java. As for multiplayer I would prefer Java 10 times more than bedrock but tbh I haven’t played that much lava because my computer is garbage and the controllers are too hard for me. What’s your opinion?
