New audio idea

NOT BETA RELATED! I'm sorry, but the admins will have to remove the forum/topic in a short while. In case you didnt know, beta related is something that is related to bugs or any glitches that annoy you. You are only suppose to talk about annoying bugs and glitches. Some of the admins and super admins are chess.com staff, so they can fix or report the bug and glitch. You may talk about this, or suggest this, in other clubs, or this website about supportchess something. I dont know, but the supper admin, Martin_Stahl, or someone of this chess.com beta will tell you. Thank you!
It is related since suggestions are allowed

You are wrong. Chess.com beta is there to report bugs and to suggest new additions and improvements.

Suggestions are welcome in Beta.
But any suggestion having to do with music is a bad suggestion.
Sometimes if I get an itch and if I take time to scratch it I might lose a game on time. That's why I don't play blitz or bullet.

FYI there are chrome extensions that let you set individual volume settings for individual tabs. So you can in effect "mix" what's playing, it also lets you adjust the volume of whatever is in the browser window relative to other computer sounds from non-browser software running on your machine.
What you are asking for already exists. Use chrome and search their free extension library if you want to use it. I stopped using chrome myself, so I can't tell you the name, but I know for certain I've done it myself for the exact reasons you describe.

If you've been around the beta forum for any length of time, you'd know suggestions are welcome.
Sorry to put this bluntly, but, please, go be a gatekeeper somewhere else.

Copypasta material ngl

It would be nice to have a sound profile option with perhaps "loud", "normal" and "soft" chess sounds, if the volume bar idea isn't technically feasible.
It's probably unlikely that they'd go through the work of doing this though since there are 3rd party solutions out there that would accomplish the same thing. But overall I think it's a good idea.

Yes you right I also think is a better idea.

I love this idea. We should have it like the Windows software volume control where you can control different things like the chess piece sounds, the music, etc. Keep making these fantastic ideas; they can change the chess community in a positive way and we can implement something like the soundbar. I don't think that there should be something like a sound profile because what if someone like me wants to have the in-between the volume levels like instead of "normal" or "soft" add a "medium soft" and then also add a "medium loud" if we do end up using the sound profile. I think that the sound profile would be used for people who aren't tech-savvy, while we use the soundbar for the more tech-savvy people like me and others. Just keep the ideas rolling in!

Thank you very much!

Very cool I may use that but could you send a link to it. No rush

here's the first one i found on a quick search. there are others. I know it looks like it just 'boosts volume' but if you look at the detailed description it says you can individually control volume for each browser tab. I'm 99% sure there are multiple others that do the same thing. I haven't tested this specific one, but it's an example:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/volume-booster-increase-s/kjlooechnkmikejhimjlbdbkmmhlkkdd
(I know that link looks weird, I can't shorten it -- if you dont trust the link just go to the chrome extension store and search for 'volume booster')
Hello everybody!
I want to tell you about my audio idea. When I want to play for example bullets or blitz games I turn on the music. When music is too quiet I turn up the volume but sound of moving pieces are too noisy. I didn't want to turn off pieces sounds but they are too loud. Therefore, it seems to me that it might be a good idea to introduce a chess sound volume bar in the options. Tell me what do you think about that.
