Playing The Sicilian Dragon Opening

Here is a video explaining some of the lines in  the Dragon Variation of the Sicilian Defense. The opening derives its name in that the pawn formation resembles the constellation Draco or Dragon constellation. It is a very shapr line and highly analyzed, with a single mistake often being fatal.

Please feel free to comment on the video and ask questions as well so that they cn get answered and overall, we can all get better.

Later there will be an unrated thematic tournament that I will have Robert set up for us and we can play through the openingon both sides.

Finally I would ask that all players please post their match games with some annotations in the Dragon Forum which will be set up soon as well.

The following post will have the video posted shortly.

OK for some odd reason it is not allowing me to use the embedding feature to play the video but the video is 29:29 long and you can right ckick the link to open it up in a new window.

Wow. 35 views and no one else has commented? I guess either there is a lot to absorb or I forgot to put on deodorant today.

Wow, the dude should really avoid strong halucingens before doing chess videos IMO. Sorry, a bit harsh, but he just talked in circles, moving pieces around haphardly regardless of move order. Some things he said were a bit silly, but most of it was good in a general way, but he could have been a little more professional and orderly I think. I liked the Dragon video posted the day before much better.

That being said, there were definitely things to learn from what he said. I would not use this video as your only guide to the Dragon tho.

Can we get a reporting of the previous video and also does anyone have any opinions on KingCrusher's videos on openings?
