It really depends what you are wanting to learn and what your understanding is on other subjects. Math and Science build on itself so it would be incredibly hard to understand higher level topics without knowing the basics. I've never studied rocket science but I'm willing to bet there is a lot of calculus involved, or at least a calculus understanding.
