That is in Maine just south of Mt Katahdin on the Appalacian Trail.  The trail section between Monson and that area is 100 miles of dense woods with a trail going through it and not much else, except hazards including the possible *eek* wrong turn lol 

actually there's plenty of black bear, deer, moose and squirrel in there too

wow a lot of lakes too, so you could probably survive on fish and berries if you had a line and hook with ya

All the towns you see on the map there ... Greenville, Monson, Bodfish, Morkill, Sebec, Schoodic, Milo, Brownville... they're all just one street villages at best lol.  At 'Kokadjo' there are 2 buildings, a restaraunt and a garage.  At Beaver Cove?  You can guess what's at Beaver Cove
