Smartest mathmatician?

Euler and Gauß ex-aequo.
Both invented lots of stuff way ahead of their time, in so many areas, number theory, differential equations, advanced geometry, ...

It's extraordinarily difficult to compare mathematicians from different eras, but I always felt like Archimedes might take the cake - but I think Gauss also has a good claim.

I believe that Newton takes the cake. His discoveries were absolutely revolutionary and inspired the field of modern physics as we know it today. Although it is also undoubtedly important to remember Newton's brilliant quote, "If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants." This invites me to investigate the merit of Archimedes or some other predecessor that inspired his work for this honor.
What we thinking? Gauss? Euler? Newton?
Lets have a debate. Mention the field of math and why the person is the best at the field.
