Sponsorships

While I was on the phone to this guy arranging the possible venue, he suggested to me about possible sponsorship ...

I am sure there are chess companies that may be able to help out financially?

More information about sponsorship will follow.  This is still early days but I am glad that people are keen to develop ideas.

Merry Xmas all.  I sent a message to Erik a while ago and he was positive with this and he mentioned that he was willing to provide chess.com gear for the event and possible sponsorship but all this will have to be confirmed.  Remember this event is still in the early stages.

I have approached some banks to find out if they wish to sponsor the event.  I am sure after the New Year, they will be willing to confirm this.  Finally, if one could help with the sponsorship with the ECF, et al that would be appreciated.

I still can't believe that this idea that I had a few months ago is snowballing into a possibility.  Thank you all for the effort to help and volunteer your assistance and best wishes for the New Year.

As a year has gone by with little progress, it might be worth just getting the first event under our belts so to speak and tie in sponsorship for the second event... after all we do want to meet before Kate and William divorce or have their 5th baby.
