they are so weak why not include stockfish , komodo , lco or even if u can arrange carlsen , hikaru to play will be better guess

Currently they are stronger than Stockfish. Because Stockfish just cannot play 4PC at all now.

It would be nice to get some top GMs playing, but I think only @gmjlh is willing to play. It just isn't that popular

@Typewriter44 makes sense but then it will not benefit us in any way, rather if a strong engine plays atleast will get to learn some new tricks and become better in 4play team mode or maybe ffa

weak engine is just like playing against noob to be frank , tough engine will atleast help us in improving this format or else will be no use of including them in casual format

try playing some bullet. try FFA/Solo vs 3 futers.

maybe some day someone wants to undertake such a (huge!) project.
until then there will be no strong 4-engines, and i think it's good for all of us we don't have to deal with engine cheaters.
maybe i'll make the futers a little bit better some day, but they will never be strong engines.
@spacebar It is indeed a huge project . Still, it could be quite some fun. Actually, even nicer would be to use reinforcement learning to train a bot. The bot would then learn by itself by playing against those who wants. It starts with Mr. Random and ends up with a 4-player chess variant of Alphago 
.
I could have some fun doing the theoretical part some day (just finished my PhD in a machine learning group).
Anyway, thanks a lot for what you did already.

I spent two days making this very basic 4-chess-computer.
It has no depth (eg it's terrible, especially 1v1), but 4 way or even 3 way it should be a fun opponent. The only depth the comfuter does have is searching for 2-move combo-mates, so be careful
The quality of the moves is the same for all time contols, but Comfuters can play very fast, making them much tougher opponents at faster time controls.
To play vs Futers, click Customize -> Invite players and add bots to your game.
To play a Futer move on the analysis board: click the computer icon (under the list of moves), or press space on your keyboard.
The Mr.Random computers make random moves, as you might expect.
