Hi everyone!

We will use this forum to post updates on the Sunday Rapid tournaments, such as when the fair play review was completed, when the prizes were awarded, or any other updates we make.
As always, if you have any questions or comments, we are always very interested in hearing from you!

Will everyone who got 4/4 get a diamond or just the top 3 according to tiebreaks? One of my friends on here got 4/4 but not top 3

Report on our Inaugural Rapid tournament:

1. The fair play review was completed. Kudos to all of you for playing, and congratulations to the winners: indrazn, Salmas324, Nesto12312, i-am-graN, DarthGamer22, and cesardark. Prizes were or in the process of being awarded.

2. Many thanks for your amazing sportsmanship and incredible support towards each other. Seeing the warm and friendly chat during the event was heartwarming! Thank you!

3. Lastly, thank you so much for all the great feedback! We have decided to make one immediate change: instead of one Open section, we'll offer a tournament for players Under1200 and one for 1200+ rated players. Keep in mind that these are rapid ratings! You will see the tournaments showing up on the club's page very soon! Hope to see many of you playing this Sunday!

As always, any questions, let me know!

If three tournaments were possible, I suggest a third option if there are many rated 1800+. Last time I checked, there were a bunch of 2K+ players. That being the case, it's rather useless to participate for anyone in the intermediate range.

I agree that there should also be a higher section, say - over 1800, but also -
Would it be possible to have categories with a choice of different time controls?
For me, ten mins is too fast and stressful. If we are trying to learn and improve, we need a bit of time to think, rather than just bang out moves from memory. (20 - 30 mins would be better.)
Personally, I don't think the point is to learn how to win on time, but to learn how to play a strong game.
Ok you could say, 'the tournament would take too long', but the more we split up the overall numbers into smaller groups, the less time each comp should take.

Maybe have a max number per group, first come first served?

Yeah, time is a problem. Chess.com always keeps tournaments suitable for countries in the Americas and Europe. But none for the Indians.

Hi everyone,
We heard you on the other feedbacks as well. Rest assured, we will add more tournaments at more suitable times for Europe/Asia. We just want to make sure that we start conservatively.
As I was reminded, the Titled Tuesday started as one event a day, and only after X time did it move to twice a day. Seeing the demand always helps, of course, so please make sure to play as much as you can!

Let's have the one tournament with two rating groups for the next two weekends, and at the end of the month, we will evaluate and update you on how we are moving forward. Does this sound good?

This is unfair, I got 4/4 but not the prize. The time was 10:30 PM IST, when usually everyone sleeps. I came for the hope of membership to improve but cheaters and tiebreakers ruined it. You should award everyone who performed Exceptionally well.

Thank you for the feedback. Let me discuss this with the team, and I will get back to you.

One thing mam, the player who finished 3rd..has tiebreak score 8...there are many with that same tiebreak score of 8...not to mention, many with perfect score but tiebreak 7... shouldn't all with a tiebreak score of 8...finish 3rd?

There are more tiebreaks

it would be great to have it more suitable for other timezones for example it would be great to have one in the evening for europe

2209 is over 1200. You can join both. They're on different days.
