why after 16 nf3 wouldnt the knight tale the queen?

i get that he would take the queen but hten he would have a chance to take back after a sieries of moves
In 4 player chess having an active king too early would just make the player doing this easy to destroy. One player can repeatedly check the active king(and it wouldn't be able to fight back in an open space where ranged pieces can be like 8 squares away) while the other players take all the pieces.
The King should be leading the army, not sitting at HQ and sipping coffee!
