The Process of Decision Making in Chess Volume 2: Practice positions and solutions. Position 6.3.1

Cookinator,
Please notice, one move is not a solution, prove your claim with a variation of what you think are best moves for both sides.

Gotcha, this is my first forum response, so I didn't now if it was piece by piece, collaborative, or to offer a full answer.
1. Qd4+ takes away Qg7 escape - If black Ka8, forced mate in 6; if black Kb8 or Kb7, white can g6 and either wins black's Q or black can Qh5 and plan to swing around to d1, but will lead to tough position for black and probably a mate down the line (too far ahead for my head to find); so black's best response I think is
1... Kb7 - White could continue a check line getting closer to the king with Qd5+, but I suggest pressuring the Queen with
2. g5 - Q can either take Qxh2+ and take a pawn for her queen and a tempo, or can save the Q with
2... Qh5 - but now black's R on f3 is vulnerable.
3. Qd5+ - Kb8 and Kc8 both lead to mate after Rxa6, so black's only continuation is
3... Ka7.
4. Qc5+ forks the King and unprotected Knight. Black has to return back to
4... Kb7
5. Qxf8
At this point, if black wants to continue, the could swing down to Qd1, but their chances for a draw are slim
