It is believed that inside the Trojan Horse was at least 30 soldiers lead by Odysseus “The Cunning”, the legendary King of Ithaca. The exact measurements of the horse, and the number of men inside it, perhaps appeal more to the mathematicians and the scientists, who are the most accurate in calculations. But, some things cannot be easily measured, especially if they are revered as a gift from the gods.
Such a gift was the Trojan Horse. Perhaps not a science, but definitely an art in its finest form would have the number of soldiers inside it closer to 1000, which would better depict the stratagem and the enactment of the drama that would unfold inside the city walls. In the end, who would have predicted that the Trojans' most sacred animal (the horse) would also serve as their final judgement.
As the Trojan Horse breached the city walls, this not only marked the beginning of the end of the 10 year war (Trojan war), it also marked the demise of the legendary city (Troy) and, most notably, the tale end of the most fascinating age in history, the mythical age.
It takes a strong man to deliver a gift from the gods, but an even greater man to receive it. The Trojans were simply overwhelmed by such a majestic work of art!
