So how will I move? The forum topic should be created by you right? I am familiar with forum play, am 8 player chess admin. But i don't see our play topic
Tournament Bracket and Rules
The first round of the tournament has concluded and two rounds remain. Two players may automatically be "in the money", but there are still points to be earned.
I will be taking JoshAbongo's place for the next two rounds in the interest of maintaining four players. I, too, will forego any chances at prizes and see this as an ideal time to test new ideas.
Here is the bracket for the first tournament. Due to the number of players it seems the best format for this situation is a round robin format.
Each player will play all three of their opponents once.
Wins are worth 1pt, Losses 0pts, Draws 1/2pts.
Komstratyx-Spiele will be joining in order to round out the bracket and special rules surround his involvement. Obviously, he will not be playing for a prize or to knock anyone out of the tournament, but simply to participate and to help guide through rules questions and the like. It is also a good opportunity to test out strategies against an opponent.
Lastly, and this will be subject to change if necessary, there are not time controls on your moves at present, because this is a correspondence based play format. However, for the sake of keeping the games moving I would encourage everyone to make at least a few moves per day.
Below is the bracket. Using the ultra precise science of rolling a d4 until each player got a unique number, the players and their numbers are as follows:
TheUltraTrap: 1, shadowarcher28: 2, JoshAbongo: 3, Komstratyx-Spiele: 4
Yes, the bracket is ordered with respect to number already
. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. Another practice game has started in case you would like to get another game in before the matches start.
The first round will begin tomorrow!
