Brief timeline(important things) of chess

Introduction

Chess is a war game that many play in this small world. Chess is a game that’s fair and skill based. It’s a strategy game for all players of a variety of ages. It can improve your IQ and help your thinking. Here is a brief timeline of chess:

How chess was created

First of all, we have a few theories of how chess might have been created and spreaded through the world. Our first theory is that Chess is believed to have been created in the 6th century AD . It was believed that it was originated in India. At that time, chess was called  Chaturanga That’s why all to nearly all chess language ex: checkmate, check and the piece names are just all translations from indian language. At that point in time, there were kings and queens and castles all around. The next thing that happened is that the merchants and traders that came from europe were really curious about the chess pieces/boards and they traded for them. That’s how chess was introduced into the Europe. This then happened to the rest of the world and when people/Europeans moved into the americas.

The second theory is that chess originated in China. Unlike norma chess, they had their own type of chess. Chinese chess. Their pieces were just round and had words on them. The real chess pieces have 3D shapes. Then, their type of chess started to quickly spread towards the west like a disease and it went as far as India. When chess was quickly spreading, the countries that received chess created their own styles of playing and their own pieces. Originally, there was a piece that was called the elephant in chinese chess. Then, in other countries it was  modified to the bishop.

17th Century

Chess was quickly spread and was all over the world and nearly everybody in the world at that time knew how to play or played chess. Then it happened. Chess became an official international game. In 1886, the first ever world chess championship took place in New York city, St Louis and New Orleans. From that point on, every year there would be a world chess championship held.( Excluding the fact that for a couple years, they were cancelled for the I and II world wars.

Present day

On this present day, chess is a big thing on this planet. There are chess world championships held every single year watched by millions, tons of chess websites all over the internet, thousands of titled players on the globe and millions of chess players around this planet! Chess has became one of the biggest things on earth! Chess has connected a lot of people nationally and internationally. It is a great way to improve your thinking and your brain.

Conclusion

The entire history of chess ends here where Magnus Carlsen is the world champion, and millions of players on the globe. Now, chess is played worldwide and almost everywhere making chess a great game to play.

Chess was created in india, when a king was annoyed that so many men in his kingdom were gambling, and so his advisor created chess as an alternative game to gambling. It was of course called chaturanga.
