The Kick Shots DVD can be ordered separately. It deals with single rail, 2 rail and 3 rail kicks, and of necessity (if you did not purchase the banking video) repeats the opening section same as banking video, shooting the cue ball into the holes showing paths on the diamomd system.
The key to using these techniques after practing, memorization of the simple numbers system, is to test the technique on a table you are about to play on to see if you need 1/4 tip of english or no english, or 1/2 tip to shoot the cue ball into the holes on the diamond system paths from each side of the table. And once you know how the table is shooting then keep using the same amount of english for the entire set of kicking systems and banking systems. His technique is basically to make a minor adjustment to the angle coming off the first rail to compensate for angle of incident never being equal to angle of refraction (incoming anglr is never actually equal to angle coming out due to forward roll, slide, rail bounce, picking up spin due to friction with the rail, accidently using english (spin) on cue ball, and speed of shot).
The long rail kicks do not require use of side english (spin) just center high.
He also gives simple adjustment to make for people who don't like to use side spin, by picking a different number on the rail close to the numbered point you would use with running english.
Two two rail kick systems are provided (one with results like Dr Cues two rail kick) where you must shoot the short rail first, and one two rail kick where you hit the long rail first. This later one is same one used for three reail kick after you first calculate a point to hit on third rail.
Since the rail numbering systems are different for each system used you must practice so as to avoid confusion. You must stay awake for entire show or you will be totally lost and need to start over.
Cue tip placement window and speed of shot (soft / hard scale ) are shown for every shot in the video which is very nice feature.
The only shortcoming is his monotone voice.
What we have here is a hundred individual segments combined in a continuous presentation. He drills the technique into your soft brain matter for numerous examples by repeating : the process description, the practice shot with cue ball going into the object pocket to demonstrate cue ball path (which includes graphics enhancement showing the path) , selecting rail numbering point for object ball location, selecting rail / path numbering point for cue ball, testing the chosen path visually assisted by your cue and repositioning the cue until the closest path is picked for hitting the object ball on the side of the ball you want, adjustments for cue ball off the rail 2 or 3, 4, 5 diamonds from the rail, ball speed, cue tip placement, and coaching for end cue ball placement for shape on next shot.
Well I ordered the DVDs rather than choosing the downloads option for $20 US because my laptops days are numbered. The updates for the DVD still came to me as download links in an email but if there is ever a problem they will send again for free. Looks like you can get everything on a phone application.
The 4 DVD set includes 2 discs for fundamentals, common mistakes, auto aiming, drills, 9 Ball and 8 ball strategy and safeties, spot on the wall, masse jump shots, frozen shots and more; and separate discs for banking and kick shots. Overall there is less physics and more practical approach to apply to any billards game.
The promotion links contain sections from the actual DVDs.
