I'm sure you are aware of the restrictions on selling anything made of ivory.
That said, I'm sure people would like to see pictures.
Guess I was under the impression that restriction did not apply to private items like chess sets.
I have seen chess sets for sale on Ebay. Guess Ebay is not aware of the restriction?

a lot of people claim ignorance "I don't know what they're made of" or say "bone" - neither approach is on the up and up. . .
I checked Ebay again, there are chess sets for sale with the word "ivory" in the description.
Again, I had forgotten about the ivory restriction. My bad.
I Do you not know what your chest that would be worth but it may be worth checking with Sotheby's auction house in New York City. Explain what you have but I would only do so if you have a certificate to have ivory chess pieces, they should've came with a date when purchased. also should be that date on the certificate. Also Google about having IVORY, may shed some light on your chess pieces. Hopefully this was helpful good luck stay healthy and be well JD
