Hey, you guys!

Wanted to share my review of the Ultimate Chess Pieces version 3. Here's the video:

There's a full written review over on my website as well:

I read the review.  In all seriousness, you might want to ask someone for help with editing and proofreading.

The review isn’t perfect, but nothing is.

I think you did a fine job.

Hehehe... Thanks Eyechess!

I watched the video version and it was good. It made me laugh. I would say good job.

Much appreciated, MCH818!

Hi I thought it was great. Very informative particularly the bit about the weights.

I've got one of those cheap plastic Amazon ones you mentioned in video. Would be interesting to hear you compare these sets against the ultimate 3 set for differences.

I enjoyed the video.

I was "View" number 16 last night. Thanks for making this content. It's so helpful seeing chess sets displayed in a video rather than photos. You use the phrase "appliance white" like it's a bad thing though. Shelby chose the most agreeable "non-color" out there. Bone? Ivory? I think it's perfectly fine for a mass-produced plastic set.

Loved the review. Fun to watch, if perhaps a bit long at the end happy.png And I learned that you like yellow!

I really quite like the new appliance white and if the set had been that color all along then I don't think anyone would think twice about it. But some type of yellow has been a part of the Ultimate sets since version 1 so it would have been nice to see that carry forward...

I honestly have ZERO problem with the new white pieces though. Totally understand why Shelby made the change but there's still a nostalgic side of me that misses the yellow now it's gone!

LOL!

It doesn't make sense to evolve the Ultimates color from light cream, to butter, then back to a light butter (margarine?). The most rational evolution of the Ultimates Set color would've been a true yellow. An Emoji Yellow. Embrace it. Celebrate it. Own it. Shelby would've been ahead of his time. Hah! I'm kidding. Shelby, don't you dare put one drop of yellow into the plastic hopper at the factory. You did good.
