I don't recognize it, but if it's an American set you might find it in Duncan Pohl's Vintage Chess Sets of the United States
Tracking down a chess set that my grandfather used to own.

Ty, i shall take a look

Since it's made of metal (I'm guessing pewter) and from the 80's you might also search for additional images of chess sets put out by the Danbury Mint or the Franklin Mint. Those are discussed in the document that I linked to, but the images included in the document are not exhaustive.

Ty, looked over the website and definately the board is correct, sadly cant see the pieces but might be an idea of atleast puzzling together the board from there hehe

I googled some more with the danbury mint or franklin mint, and got to a site called Etsy, just went through their listings and choked on my coffee haha!
The pieces here are almost excatcly like the ones im looking for but they are slightly different, im gonna do some more searching, but if not i can puzzle it together with the link from Suboseg on the boards and make "my own variant" i suppose on the set that im trying to find Which could be cool in its own way
Tower is a little off / rounded top

FOUND the pieces
Exactly the pieces, wrong board but i can puzzle that together
This is awesome

Awesome! I think my assistance was indirect at best, but I was happy to help.
Appreciate the help, made me get on to other sites when searching that i didnt know existed ultimately leading to the discovery of my precious pieces haha
Now just the small ordeal of ordering and getting them all, will take a bit of time but ill post an image here when i got it all
Probably atleast a month or so id say for me to be able to get it all, starting a new job this coming week
Ok so im wondering if anyone know of a good place to find chess sets, bascily the one i am searching for is a older one i think from 1980 ish, metal chess set with a board of gold/black if i remember correctly.

I have been able to track down the pieces, After weeks of searching but unfortunately the one who shipped them to me decided to "wrap" them with 1layer of toilet paper (Cheap kind as well -.- ) and stuff them all in a trashbag to ship them, naturally some were broken on arrival....
I figure i can use them as spare ones if i manage to get the rest of the set together.
I have not been able to find a chess board and no more of the pieces online, figured id ask if anyone knows some good sites i could possbily search as well.
Been doing Ebay, Amazon, Tradera, and Blocket ( Tradera and Blocket are swedish sites since im from there )
That type of board.
That is the look of the pieces
If anyone has any tips or tricks do tell.
Reason for me searching and trying to put this back together, i bought my grandmother/grandfathers house and i learnt playing chess on it with my grandfather as a kid, hes dead of 18 years by now but my grandmother still is alive, she has no idea where he bought it from so cant get any help from that though.
Have a good day fellow chess enjoyers
