Here is an interesting article about new chess related video games being developed for the Nintendo DS and PC systems:

I think it is great that chess is being featured in the video game world. These games will include International Master Josh Waitzkin with instructional material for improving chess players. I hope that we will see more games similar to this developed in the future. How about some kind of interactive chess game for the Nintendo Wii? I think that would be really cool to have a chess game developed for the best video game system on the market.

That's an interesting development for ChessMaster.  It can only help bring more people to the game. Smile

I can't imagine why anyone would want to play chess on a console gaming system. I, of course, will be purchasing Chessmaster [11]: Granmaster Edition for the PC at the earliest opportunity. I only wish that Ubisoft would release a 64bit multi-processor version.
