Magnus Carlsen plays 5 players, blindfold, simultaneous, 12 minutes each. The opponents are 'beginners'. A lot went wrong. Any thoughts are welcome.

Magnus "it was an experiment".

Looks like his first opponent played blindfold as well...

Yip Wink. Just some businessmen probably. A bit of a waste to have Magnus play them if you ask me.

I know the games are nonsense. Just added them for 'completeness'. It's more about the video really and all the things that went wrong.

MSC157

Game 1, black wins on time, but doesn't claim it.

Lol

At least the opponents 2+5 were no beginners. The both played something that looks remotely like chess. Undecided

For some more serious blindfold games.

Apart from the level (no level, really) of the games, the format and the organisational blunders, it's fun to 'play the video, close your eyes and see how long YOU can keep up with the games'.

MSC157

Yes yes. And on a unrelated note, chessbrah Eric Hansen played blindfolded bullet tournament up to 10 seconds remaining and finished 4th. Cant post a link. :(

Why not?

I'm on mobile and Twitch doesn't seem to provide the right link. Should have tried with the computer, just a sec.

MSC157

Here you go. Eric is blindfolded. Aman (Hambleton) is transmitting the moves.

This is awesome. Laughing

LOL Poor Jan....'What to do?'

tag for interests.

This is sheering cheating.

Carsel was not immediately informed of the moves.Only after a few seconds, the moves were informed and also it's impossible to spell more than one move at a time.

So such timing is simply utter nonsense or foolishness.

Magnus Carsen must be aware of such cunning ways to defeat him.

Since it was an experiment, not much to comment on.

Anyhow these are my utterances.

congrandolor

they play even worse than me! Surprised
