UTD defeated their rival UMBC to win the 2007 Pan American Intercollegiate Tournament. It all came down to Freshman Salvijus Bercys who only had 18 seconds left on his clock at one point, but he ended up finding the good moves necessary to take the win. Also with this victory UTD will advance to the "Final Four" competition in April where UMBC will also have a spot.
