What a great book this is that I got. Although I had and read five books that Einstein wrote.
He would say, "I don't understand why I am such a popular fellow but people don't like to read the books I write."

All that wisdom, yet he couldn't buy himself a comb.

Einstein said on an interview, “If I were to start taking care of my grooming, I would no longer be my own self…..
Actually Einsein played a pretty good game of chess, estimated to be like an "A" player, maybe even expert.
Robert Oppenheimer played suck chess , there's a game between him & Einstein played at a Princeton Chess tournament and Einstein shredded him. Oppie was maybe a "C" level player despite a lifelong enthusiasm for it from an early age.
Or so I read somewhere someplace.
yeah, I read somewhere that he liked the game and played it recreationally and if he were to be rated he'd be around 1400-1500s.. Sounds reasonable enough I suppose, as one might, when their main life's focus is elsewhere...
Sure wouldn't mind learning anything that is reliable enough to be considered truth on the matter...so far it is all rumours...even his supposed game with Oppenheimer is rejected in some circles as it being Einstein's game...

I agree with you about his chess not being the greatest. I hope that new book I am reading has something in it to give me more clarity. I have learn more about Einstein in this new book I got.
Friday will be Einstein's birth day. March 14, 1879.
I should have had a party but I forgot to send out the invitations.
It happens to be PI day also, 3.1415.
He frequently played with his close friend Dr. Emmanuel Lasker. Course Einstein was a bad player compared to Lasker.
Albert Einstein wrote poems, and tried to play the violin badly until he died.
Einstein died on April 18, 1955. Strange thing happened when he died and was going to be cremated according to his desires. The pathologist Thomas Harvey that was doing the autopsy stole Einsteins two and half pound brain and kept it hidden for fifty years. When Harvey was 90 and frail he returned to the scene of the crime and gave back the brain.
Another friend of Harvey, Henry Abrams went to the place where Einstein's body was that night before the cremation and he stole both eyes. Leaving empty sockets. He placed the in a container soaked in Formaldehyde and kept them in a safe deposit box.
He was cremated anyway he wasn't going to be using the missing those parts anyway.
Happy Birthday and PI day to
Albert Einstein.
