Because they only score 33% against people rated 800.
How are you only 1300?
Is that even possible? When I first learned the rules I played for a week and was rated ~900. Do they lose on purpose or something?
Ratings are on a bell curve from around 100-ish to around 3000-ish. Each time someone wins a game and gets a better rating, the other guy loses and gets a lower rating. Seems pretty simple.
Well if you are interrupted during play incessantly you DROP in score.
If you start a game and need to rush to another task ...game abandonment you drop in score. However I really think that some players CANNOT ...are not euipped brain wise to handle chess moves. You must remember this is chess requires an enhanced RIGHT BRAIN hemisphere. If you have an enlarged RIGHT BRAIN you will be a good player. Some ambidextrous players who have EQUALLY enhanced RIGHT and LEFT brain hemispheres play better. Homosexuals actually have a wider corpus collosum connecting the 2 brains and you find these people are quite clever. JUST LIKE there are MATHS dummies and LANGUAGE dummies ...the same applies to chess. Greta Chess players are not better than PRIME MINISTERS or top athletes ...they only play chess with ease
Not everybody has the talent that is needed to get over 1000 Elo. I mean SORRY BUT its often not their fault. YOU can imagine that not everybody wants to reach something in chess. And why ARE worrying about those players? Do you have AN argument why you are doing this, because it sounds like it is from an IDIOT...
p.s. Now read all the big marked words.
But the OP question is silly. Sort of like asking why there are people on the other end of the bell curve "how are people rated 2800?"
Haha good point!
IDK, but I noticed that 3 digit players seem too obsess over their openings without even realizing that it barely makes a difference at their level. If they had a +3.00 advantage they wouldn't even notice it. Its so stupid when a 950 player makes a thread complaining about how he cant get an advantage from 2. c4. These low rated players need to learn how to actually play chess and not blindly memorize openings.
