Muted in chat automatically for saying "omfg lol"

I made a blunder that got me mated in one and I thought it was funny, so I said "omfg lol"  I was warned and given a notification to follow community guidelines.  I saw a "resend" button because my message was automatically rejected.  I hit resend, and it rejected my message again and muted me.  Isn't this censorship taken a little far?

Its a website.  You dont have "rights"  If you didnt agree with the site rules, then why did you accept them?

Listen man I didn't mean to come off as stuck up I was just confused at the time and I didn't see anything about it in the site rules even after I checked the link to them.  I just wanted to know if someone knew why it was against the rules to say that particular thing because the policies are kind of vague and unclear in this regard.  It doesn't really fit under obscene language or unsportsmanship or anything else.

what you said shouldn't have been flagged. It was abbreviated plus not directed at your opponent

If you get warned by the auto-mod and do something  that would get you warned again, in a very short amount of time, it will mute you.

That was an abbreviation of a vulgar phrase. The auto-mod was simply doing its job. Don't blame yourself, blame the text business.

No cause for a mutiny. surprise.png

Half a dozen times in the 6mos of 2018 that I was here, said "brb, got 2 take a p*ss and make drink/grab cup of coffee," no prob. Now I get auto warning, so have learned not to say that word. Yet I had a player spam chat me with comments about my mother and her physical interactions with beasts, but was in Portuguese, so no prob for him.  My spanish is okay so got the drift pretty quickly. Yeah I blocked and reported him, with a screenshot or two and google translate of phrases. No idea what happened.

I also used the word "ch('eye')nk" when referring to a rock shim while chatting with a stonemason. Actually got a warning message in inbox for racist language and threat of ban on that one.  I only use the most polite pristine language and manners when speaking with someone unknown, especially from a far away country, but don't want to pre-selfcensor myself when having fun in chat with likeminded dudes. Hint to site owners: All players are not Cali-snowflakes that will need inpatient psychiatric treatment if see the words "darn it." Some people mend and sew.

I think we all need to realise that there may be young people playing here or sometimes people from cultures that do not use vulgarities. Please be mindful that whilst you and I may not find abbreviated swearwords offensive or upsetting, there are others who might.

That's pretty messed up. You shouldn't get muted for that. This is censorship at its finest.

potty mouth language is beastly and horrid.

Says the girl that uses the word "hot" in her username. So it's okay for you to have a username that implies sexual connotations, but it's not okay for him to say a word that literally just means sex?

Yeah, it's pretty messed up.

I'm glad you agree that your own hypocrisy is messed up.

I did utter that phrase once, "Oh My, Freed Gerbil!"  Was babysitting my niece, with my son, when her pet rodent escaped.  Tho I was flustered and spoke with loud emphasis,  don't think this was cursing.  But in general I agree with you. A person who grew up raising corn and taking outer husk leaves off that says "shucks?"  Should be doxed, reported to Interpol and executed after 1 hr. trial at Hague. This spewing hate words, while trying to hide under umbrella of free expression is really getting out of control.

By the recent triumph of the Labour Party, this is obviously the present sentiment of the people, right?

Hot_Stewardess must've had an early fight to catch.
