A book by Tim Harding

I just received from Amazon a book by Tim Harding called "Better Chess for Average Players."  Just taking a quick look at it, it seems to be a very good book. Have any of you read it? Was it  helpful and really good?

I sometimes read his column in Chess Cafe and that's where I first "met" him.

I would appreciate your thoughts about Tim and about this book.

I also have it, but haven't yet read it I'm afraid. But it looks good. You could read the Amazon reviews of it.

I remember reading it and it's a pretty helpful book! He has very nice information on the endings especailly. Obviously the material on the middlegame is a little light and won't make your game much stronger. This is more of a book with helpful hits than a manual on the middlegame.

Reading a book like "Inside Amateur's mind" or "Reassess your chess" is more helpful in my opinion unless you've already read them!
