Jonathan Tisdall's Improve Your Chess Now talks about how to calculate moves and improve your visualization skills.  Jonathan Rowson's Chess for Zebras is about how to learn and improve, and his The Seven Deadly Chess Sins deals with the typical mistakes made by fairly advanced players.  Mikhail Marin's Secrets of Attacking Chess is another thought-provoking book.
