Suppose I'm setting up an armageddon game and I want white to have 5 minutes and black to have 2 minutes. How do I do that?

From the Arena Help file:

Adjusting the Clocks

If the time on a real board differs from the clock time displayed in Arena, you can adjust the Arena clocks.

  • Click with the right mouse button on the clock you would like to adjust.
  • Select "Adjust Clock"
  • The clock is now displayed with red background. The up and down buttons appear.
  • Use the up or down buttons to increase the time left for the respective player
  • Or you can use the mouse wheel to set the seconds.
  • If you hold the Ctrl key, set the minutes.

Leave this function:

  • Click with the right mouse button on the clock
  • Click on "Adjust Clock" to unselect this menu item

Note: You can also use the middle mouse button (wheel) to click on the clocks.

To reset the time adjustments you made with this function:

  • Click with the right mouse button on the clock you would like to adjust.
  • Select "Reset Clock Adjustments"

Well, since I made that last post, I've moved to Linux. I no longer use the Arena versions for Windows; Instead, I use Arena 1.1 for Linux. With that Linux version, I can set the game level to either 30+30 for both sides, or 90+90 for both sides, then I can use the Help instructions to change one of the sides manually as desired. Unfortunately, the Ctrl key doesn't speed up the process, so it takes forever to make the change. I don't know if you'll have this problem with the Windows version of Arena.

That's the best advice I can give you without booting up the old Windows drive and futzing with it.

I'm not sure how to do this. I want to set a custom game in live chess where I have 1 minute and my opponent has 10 minutes, but I don't know how.
