AUTOMATED CHESS BOARDS/SETS

I am a recent convert to chess (just started to play). I have been taking the lessons on this site. They are excellent and provide a logical training system to learn the game. I have no friends who have an interest in this fascinating game so have been playing matches on my tablet against the computer.

I am interested in acquiring an AI board. I am looking at the DGT Centar and Smart Board. I am confused on which to acquire. I simply want a board to sit down and enjoy a game while advancing my skills by playing against an opponent that is better than me while winning a match from time to time so as not to have my “CHESS EGO” deflated.😜

Does anyone have an opinion on which would best suit my objectives? Or maybe someone may have an opinion on a different board for computerized chess. Playing on a computer screen or Mobil device is fun, but actually having pieces to move and playing on a three dimensional board with actual pieces really brings the game to life.

I have progressed to the point that I understand the piece movement, rules, objectives and rules. Playing on line on this and other sites I do win matches fairly regularly (all be it at a beginners level). What I desire now is to move my skills up a rung on the ladder and play on a real board with actual pieces. Win some and lose some and learning from my defeats. Thanks Papimuzo! I actually just ordered this board. I should receive it on Monday. I was looking for a self contained board that did not require internet connection, was easy to transport and could be played anywhere. This seemed to fit my needs. It does have limitations in storing games, offering move suggestions, etc. But I have another A. I. board that does that. It is called Square Off Grand Kingdom. I really love it. I play if not every day, several times a week. Thanks Again and Best Wishes.

it is I hope a better product than SquareOff, at least at these prsentations. I am a contributor and expect a successful end with it which is promising.
